Temperature Sensor Market Strategic Outlook

Temperature sensor is equipment used to measure temperature or thermal intensity of the operating device or machine part. Electrical signals are used to measure the temperature of respective device or machine. Temperature sensors are made from two different metals that are joined at one end of device. Basically Two metals used to make temperature sensor produce voltage that are in direct proportion to temperature changes takes places on device part. Temperature sensors are commonly available in the form of wires. Thermal sensors are built with simple design and can be used to measure temperatu5re ranging from -200 degree to 230 degree.

Thermal detection is base for all the advanced types of temperature compensation (manual & automatic) and control equipment. Temperature sensor designed either with basic or intelligent function properties. Basic Temperature sensor only notifies thermal control system about actual temperature of device or machine part while intelligent one notify when temperature control event occurs. Temperature sensor notify control system when specific temperature (maximum or minimum temperature ) threshold is exceed, to take preventive measure to lower or higher the temperature according to device working environment.

Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor, Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD), Thermocouple and Semiconductor-based sensors are main types of Temperature sensor. Thermocouple requires no external form of excitation with self-powered working mechanism. It shows widest range of working temperature from -200Β°C to 2300Β°C with highest precision in temperature detection. NTC thermistor works in temperature range of -50 Β°C to 250 Β°C, RTD range is -200 to 600 Β°C while Semiconductor-based sensors working range is -70 Β°C to 150 Β°C.

In Semiconductors Sector, emerging electronics industry increasing demand for high performance and efficient products that includes Temperature sensor. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning use has shown significant growth in recent times. Temperature control has paramount importance in Healthcare Sector as it requires constant temperature monitoring for storage. Rapid growth of Automobile industry also act as driving force for increasing market volume of Temperature sensor. Aerospace and Defense Sector also find heavy use of temperature monitoring equipment mainly in safety manufacturing plants.
