Market Overview

Lithium Battery are referred to as lithium metal battery. In which lithium acts as anode and a liquid mixture of thionyl chloride (SOCl2), lithium tetrachloroaluminate (LiAlCl4), and niobium pentachloride (NbCl5) which act as the catholyte, electrolyte, electron sink, and dendrite preventive during reverse voltage condition, electrolyte. It has high charge density and high cost per unit as compared to other battery. Lithium cell can produce 1.5V to about 3.7V. Lithium battery have more long-life and can be used in clocks and cameras although they are costly but they have high life span, which will ultimately help reduce battery replacement.  


There are three major types of Battery Lithium(CR), Silver Oxide (SR) and Alkaline (LR) Battery. Major difference between them is silver oxide battery (SR) have greater capacity, they last almost twice as long as alkaline battery (LR). Secondly the discharge rate of silver oxide battery is very low which is preferable over alkaline battery. Thirdly silver oxide has high corrosion resistance that is it have superior leakage resistance technology as compared to other battery.  


They are named as coin and button because of their shape and size, thinner type are called coin while thicker ones are called button their size range from 5 to 25mm in diameter and 1 to 6mm in height. These are single use battery and disposable. While secondary cells are rechargeable which are most used in computers and in gaming devices. This helps in saving the data when device is power off.
