Brake Friction Products Market Strategic Outlook

Overview

According to latest study published by Profshare Market Research the brake friction market is projected to grow during the forecast period due to the increase in vehicle production. Brake pads, brake shoes, brake lining, brake rotor, and brake drum are primary product included in Brake Friction Products. Brake pads are an integral part of the disc braking system. When the brake pedal is pressed, the brake pads press against the running disc to stop its motion and brake the vehicle. The brake pads are essentially made of a material that possesses high co-efficient of friction. In train brakes and bicycle brakes, a brake shoe is used which is the part of a braking system which carries the brake lining in the drum brakes used on automobiles, or the brake block.

Brake linings form an integral part of an automotive brake system and come as a standard fitment in brake shoes and pads. In braking system, brake rotors play an important role in stopping your vehicle and it is an important component. Brake rotors (they're also called brake discs) are what your vehicle's brake pads clamp down on to stop the wheels from spinning. The brake drum is commonly made of a special type of cast iron that is heat-conductive and wear-resistant. It rotates with the wheel and axle. The term drum brake commonly means a brake in which shoes press on the inner surface of the drum.

Study indicates that the Brake Friction Products divided into two types of applications which are passenger cars and commercial cars. A passenger car is a motor vehicle designed or adapted primarily to carry people on highways and streets. Most cars, station wagons, vans, and some pick-up trucks are passenger cars. Passenger car largely consist of Brake Friction Products installed. Not only passenger cars but commercial car also consist of Brake Friction Products in it, as commercial cars are divided into two sections LCV and HCV and both light commercial cars and heavy commercial cars consist of Brake Friction Products in it. LCV stands for light commercial vehicle. With a gross vehicle weight of no more than 3.5 metric tons, LCVs in the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand a commercial carrier vehicles. In both Canada and Ireland, the LCV designation is also occasionally, where Commercial Van is more generally used. HCV stands for Heavy Commercial Vehicle. A vehicle with GVW of more than 6 tons is defined as HCV. Heavy weight vehicles are used to transport raw materials to work site and finished goods to the market.

Geographically, the Brake Friction Products is divided into Europe: Germany, France, UK, Russia, Italy and Benelux; Middle East: Saudi Arabia, Israel, UAE and Iran; Africa: South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Algeria. With the highest vehicle park and increase in average miles driven, North America is estimated to be the largest aftermarket for brake friction products. Aftermarket, the LCV section predicted the largest share of brake friction. Additionally, many players operate in the region’s aftermarket due to the easy availability of organized replacement market and strict rules against counterfeiting of products. Increasing Vehicle Park and increasing concerns about braking distance and safety are propelling the aftermarket players to launch advanced brake friction products and due to these the brake friction products replacement has increased in the region. Countries such as China, India, Japan, the U.S., and Germany are expected to be the key demand areas, which supplements the global friction products and materials market growth. However, some countries such as Germany, Sweden, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, and U.S. have banned the use of asbestos as friction material. Such a factor is expected to hinder the growth of the global market.
