Bismaleimide Triazine (BT) resin is basically a heat resistant thermoset resin. BT Resin is one of the most commonly used resin in manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). It is used in making of substrates used to connect chips used in handsets of PCBs. Bismaleimide Triazine contains mixture of bismaleimide and cyanate ester. Bismaleimide triazine resin is co-reacted with epoxy resins to increase the flexibility. The resin used for general purpose circuit board contains 10% of bismaleimide by weight because it is having same curing temperature as that of epoxy resins.
