Figures published in the Profshare newsroom may be quoted in articles, reports, presentations and research without asking us first, provided the figure is attributed to Profshare Market Research and linked to the note it came from.

How to cite a figure

Pet specialty stores hold an estimated 30% of the pet furniture channel mix in 2025 (Profshare Market Research, Pet Specialty Stores Hold an Estimated 30% of the Pet Furniture Channel Mix, 15 September 2026).

Include the date. Our estimates are revised as research is refreshed, and a figure quoted without its date cannot be checked against the current one.

What these figures are

Every market figure we publish is an estimate produced by a forecasting method, not a measurement, and is written that way. Shares are published as approximations for public reference. The model behind a figure, the sample frame it was built from and the detailed values sit in the source report, which each note links to.

What needs written permission

  • Republishing a note in full, or in substantial part.
  • Redistributing our figures as a dataset, database or data feed.
  • Using our estimates inside a commercial product or service sold to third parties.

Report deliverables are licensed separately, under the terms of purchase that accompany them.
